    Can a Disney gift card be linked to the Magic Bands?

    Hi, April! 

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you are having fun planning a magical vacation to Walt Disney World® Resort! Thank you so much for sending us an additional vacation planning question. 

    Disney Gift Cards are my favorite way to "save" towards my vacations. And if you're like me, you've been purchasing  them from select retailers along the way. Unfortunately, Disney Gift Cards cannot be used as the payment method linked to your MagicBand, you must use a credit card.

    However, I have a tip for you that has worked very well for me during every vacation when I've been traveling with Disney Gift Cards. Link a credit card to your account so you may take advantage of the convenience of paying with your MagicBand. Then, stop by the front desk of your resort hotel lobby and pay down your account with your gift card(s). It's really simple to do and you'll even get a receipt showing your charges thus far and what your new balance may be once you've used your gift card to pay it down.
