Hi, Caroline!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your question involves a vacation planning strategy that I utilize myself, so I am excited to be helping you today.
Disney Gift Cards are a fantastic way to "save" for a Walt Disney World® Resort vacation, and with select retailers offering discounts on gift cards when purchased with their store-issued debit or credit cards, it's hard not to take advantage of the savings. Once on-property, it can be challenging to keep up with multiple cards and to make sure you use every penny available. Here's the best way to maximize your time and money when vacationing with Disney Gift Cards and staying at an on-property resort hotel.
• MagicBands! First, make sure your MagicBand has a credit card linked to it on your My Disney Experience Account so that it is activated for charging privileges. Next, enjoy the convenience of being able to pay with your MagicBand for all your incidentals. You can then stop by the front desk of your resort hotel lobby to pay down your account with your Disney Gift Card(s), it's that easy! Keep in mind, your resort will charge the credit card on file every 72 hours, so just make sure you stop by to pay down your account every couple of days.
•
Disneygiftcard.com. If you plan on traveling with multiple cards, or are not staying at an on-property resort hotel, this website can help. With the ability transfer multiple gift card balances onto just one designated card, you'll have one less thing to worry about.
I hope you find these tips and tricks helpful, Caroline! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any additional questions you may have. I am here to help you plan a magical, carefree vacation.
