I have a Disney gift card and a few visa gift cards as well. May I use them towards buying my tickets?

    Hiya, Esther!

Thank you so much for sending this Disneyland Resort planning question to us hEAR at planDisney!

Oh Boy! It looks like you're planning on a very merry visit to The Happiest Place on Earth! Be sure to keep up with the Disney Parks Blog as they'll soon start posting about the wintertime fun to be found across the theme parks, Disneyland Resort Hotels, and even the seasonal treats and eats you simply won't want to miss! Be sure to follow them across all of your social media channels so you're sure to never miss a story.

You're a Mouseketeer after my own hEARt because I also love using Disney Gift Cards. (I guess the more appropriate statement would be 'I love receiving Disney Gift Cards as gifts so I can then use them at Disney's parks...') When purchasing Theme Park Admission Tickets online, only one method of payment is accepted per transaction. So yes, you technically could use a Disney Gift Card to cover that cost, but the gift card would need to have as much as or more loaded onto it than what the tickets cost to be able to process in full. There is a place on the Disney Gift Card website where you can combine values from multiple Disney-branded gift cards up to *$1000.00 USD. If the cost of your multiple tickets is over that thousand-dollar limit, try to purchase your tickets one at a time over multiple transactions; you might have to combine more gift cards together to cover transaction two and beyond, but it's doable.

Another option is you could try calling the Disneyland Ticket Helpline where you should be able to purchase all of your tickets in one swoop and spread the purchase out over multiple forms of payment. I've used credit card-style gift cards before at Disneyland's hotels, so I don't see why this over-the-phone system wouldn't be able to process those cards too. The only caveat is that you'll need to know exactly how much is on the Visa gift cards as they are "charged" for that amount as Disney's system isn't set up to 'just swipe and apply any remaining balance.' The Disneyland Ticket phone number is (714) 781-4636.

One last idea I have for you, Esther, is that you will be able to use your gift cards - both Disney as well as your Visa cards - to pay for your Disneyland Dining and souvenEAR purchases. You can even apply the Disney Gift Card numbers to online orders in your Disneyland Mobile App!

I hope that this helped to clEAR up your question, Esther, and better plan your upcoming Disney days!
