Can you use a Disney gift card for a cruise and if so how do you do this?

    Hi Kay,

I am a Disney gift card addict!  It's pretty much all I use when I'm running around Walt Disney World or sailing on a sensational Disney cruise.   When you check in at the cruise terminal, you will be asked to put a credit card on file.  You don't use cash on the ship or Castaway Cay (if that's one of your destinations).  You use your stateroom key as your charge card.  Charges are added to your room account.  At any time during your cruise, whether it's each evening or on the last night, you can use visit Guest Services and pay your account with your Disney gift cards.  I really enjoy this option because it let's me budget for my trip before I leave home.  I know how much I have to spend and I stick to it.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel...have a magical sailing Kay.

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
