Hello there Geoff! You've come to the right place to discuss all of the delicious dining options throughout the Disneyland Resort!
Blue Bayou Restaurant is one of our favorite places to dine during our trips. You really cannot beat the ambiance of watching the Pirates of the Caribbean boats float by! You definitely can use your
Disney Gift Card to pay or help pay for your meal. You can let your server know that you'll be using a Disney Gift Card when they present your check, and just make sure to have an additional method of payment on hand in case your Disney Gift Card does not cover the entire cost of the meal.
In terms of the
dining locations that you are able to use your Disney Gift Card, the majority of the places inside Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and at the Disneyland Resort Hotels accept Disney Gift Cards. Great Maple Modern American Eatery at the Pixar Place Hotel is an exception, it is run by a third party and Disney Gift Cards are not accepted there. However, there are still a ton of other options for you including both
table service restaurants and
quick service dining.
In addition to Blue Bayou, we love to dine at
Carnation Café and
Cafe Orleans at Disneyland Park, and
Lamplight Lounge at Disney California Adventure Park. There are also plenty of options for quick service dining, there are many days that we would prefer to eat a quick meal and continue experiencing attractions and entertainment! No trip for me is complete without the Banyan Beef Skewer from
Bengal Barbecue in Disneyland Park, or the Humongous Taco Salad from
Pym Test Kitchen over in California Adventure.
