Where do I get disney genie?

Hey there, Penni! Thanks for stopping by planDisney to ask your question.

I am so excited to try out Disney Genie and Genie+ in the theme parks in November!

When Disney Genie was launched on October 19, I couldn’t wait to check it out. When I tried to open my MyDisneyExperience mobile app, there was an update that was necessary in order to view this new option.
Leading up to your trip, you can check out the regular Disney Genie option. It will let you select your top attractions, add where you’d like to eat, and even help you book Enchanting Extras that are available. Genie is supposed to assist you to have the best day possible, and it is free! I seriously can’t wait to check this new feature out.

Currently, guests can add Genie+ on the day that they plan to go to the park, beginning at midnight EST on the MyDisneyExperience mobile app. You can add it anytime that day, even after you have entered the parks. My plan is to watch the wait times leading up to my trip and then decide if I truly want to purchase it each day, or just for 1-2 days while I am there.

When I was just in WDW at the beginning of October, I found that they standby lines were never more than a 40-minute wait, and often the posted wait time was less than what we actually waited. This is always a pleasant surprise.

I hope this helps with planning for your upcoming visit for The Most Magical Celebration on Earth! Be sure to be on the lookout for all the Fab 50 Character Collection statues around the property. They are gorgeous!

    Happy Traveling,
    Tracy
