Hi Disney friends! I am going to Disney this May for the College Program and want to know where the best deals on park food are. Are Epcot festival bites filling for someone like me who doesn't eat too much?

Hi Larissa! Welcome back to planDisney!

How exciting! Congratulations on this amazing accomplishment to be part of the Disney College Program!

When it comes to finding the best value on food at the Walt Disney World Resort, you have come to the perfect place! With countless food options, you will have plenty to choose from at many dining locations during your time as a Disney Cast Member.

The festival booths at EPCOT are a great starting point when trying to taste different items. While some of the offerings are smaller bites, many can be rather filling. I just attended the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts and I was able to try a variety of items from all across the world. In Germany, the Red Wine-braised Beef Short Rib was accompanied by a parsnip puree and fresh veggies. The price was right in line with many other items, but this was practically a composed dish that ended up being very filling. I had an empanada at another booth that I was expecting to be a miniature version, but it ended up being a full-size offering. This festival will be ending in the next few days, but there will be other festivals throughout the year with various menu items that you can check out during your time on-site.

As you visit all the parks throughout your time here, there are plenty of dining locations where you can find great value on certain items. If you have a sweet tooth, there is a Pretzel Bread Pudding that can be found at Sommerfest in EPCOT. This dessert is easily shareable and is a great value compared to other similar items. In Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, the Buffalo Chicken Chips at Trilo-Bites is one of my favorite snacks. It's sizeable and can easily serve as a meal depending on how hungry you are. Over at the Magic Kingdom, Casey's Corner offers Chipotle Barbeque Loaded Fries that are topped with tender pulled pork. I've had this before and had trouble finishing it on my own.

Larissa, you will have plenty of options when it comes to finding the best value on food offerings at Walt Disney World. I suggest doing some research on various dining locations and finding items that appeal to your preferences. It's more than likely that many Quick-Service locations will have value-friendly menu items that will be perfect for your appetite.

Best of luck in your new role, Larissa! I hope you have a magical time!

    See ya real soon!
