If you come to Disney on Friday afternoon and stayed until Sunday at one of their valued resorts, would you have time to see MK for 2 days or one day? I know most hotels require check-out at 10:00 a.m.

    Hi Linda!

You're well on your way to planning a fun trip with your kind of thinking! As someone who frequently visits Walt Disney World for weekend trips, I have a fairly good idea what your planning is consisting of. I usually drive in, and perhaps you will be, too.

You could visit Magic Kingdom on the Friday evening of your arrival. Reservations at Crystal Palace and an evening taking in the parade and fireworks show would be a great way to start your weekend, in my opinion. The next morning, start your day early and work your way from Fantasyland and then around the rest of Magic Kingdom as the day progresses. In the evening, you'll find that if you're okay with skipping out on the parade and fireworks (since you saw them the night before), then getting on the typically long line attractions is a breeze. Combine with the use of Fast Passes, and you should have no problem enjoying the majority of Magic Kingdom!

When coming in and staying just two nights, I'd suggest taking the last day of your visit easy. Especially if you are indeed driving back that Sunday. I've learned that it's much better to enjoy the magic for a shorter duration than it is to worry about your departure while you're still in the parks! On a departing day, I'll usually take the family to breakfast at one of the deluxe resorts or to lunch in Downtown Disney before heading out.

Check out, by the way, is generally at 11am. You may ask for a later checkout time, and if available sometimes, the resort cast members work their Disney magic.

Let me know if you need anymore help planning your magical vacation!
