We come to Disney frequently and have a 5-pound poodle. Now ghat Disney has pet-friendly resorts, how much is the pet fee and how does one go about booking one of these rooms? Thank you so much for the wonderful information you all provide.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Cathy! Pluto would howl with delight to hEAR about your traveling pooch. Your dog will be welcome at 4 of the 26 Walt Disney World Resort hotels!

Each guest room that allows dogs will have easy access to pet walkways, green relief spaces and plenty of pup amenities. When you check into your Resort, you’ll receive a Pluto welcome kit which includes a mat, bowls, pet ID tag, disposable potty bags, puppy pads, a Resort dog walking map and a super cute “do not disturb” sign that will need to be hung on your door when your pup is there. Keep in mind that housekeeping service is only available when you are present. You will need to dial housekeeping on your in-room telephone to schedule a cleaning time at your convenience. If you need to leave your dog for a long while (think park hopping all day!) you can take your pup to the Walt Disney World Resort kennel called Best Friends Pet Care. Not only can they board your pets, they also have doggy day care! As far as booking this Resort Room doggy option, you can call (407) 939-1936 to speak with a Cast Member to add this on to your reservation. There are various per night pet-cleaning rates, and as always prices are subject to change until you book your room:
    • Disney’s Art of Animation Resort $50/night
    • Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort $50/night
    • Disney’s Yacht Club Resort $75/night
    • Cabins at Disney’s Ft. Wilderness Resort $50/night
At this time, the dog welcome program is still an option through October 15, 2018, so be sure to plan your vacation accordingly. If I can help you with any other vacation planning, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
