I am a disney freak andI have been many times but I want to go at the end of september with my two girls ages 4 an 17 months by myself do you think this will be possible or am I cracy to try and do this by myself my husband can't get away.

    Hi Melodi,

You are quite at home here, as you will find we are all quite nuts about Disney ourselves. I personally do not think you are crazy at all for thinking of traveling to Disney with just the kids. As a matter of fact, many of us "Moms" have done the exact same thing. I personally have traveled alone, with my two younger sons to Disney World three times this year already.

I think Disney World is one of the easiest places to travel with small children as everything is so family friendly, from the number of attractions guests of all ages can enjoy, to the kid friendly restaurants and the awesome baby care centers. There will be a few changes you may need to make when traveling alone, but I have always found it quite easy and fun.

You will have two less hands, so remember to pack wisely. Everything from your luggage to your diaper bag needs to conserve space so you are not dealing with more bags than you have to. If you are planning on bringing your own stroller, make sure it is one that is easily folded and lifted when you need to load it on the bus. I have had great luck with Cast Members and other guests lending a hand getting on and off the bus so don't be afraid to take them up on their offer.

When I am traveling alone, I like to make additional dining reservations. It was always easier for me to dine with the kids if I did not have to use counter service and carry the food and the kids at the same time. Just remember to take your time and enjoy. Traveling with small children always slows down the things you can accomplish, and when you are alone, that will happen even more. Enjoy, I am sure it will be a trip full  of laughs and magic.
