We will be at Disney in florida in Dec traveling with 3 small girls what character dining would you recommend? We also want to go to Mickeys Merry Christmas know we will have to get tickets but how do they know whatpeople bought tickets who didnt?

It sounds like you will be traveling with a few little princesses for your next Disney vacation!  I am sure they would enjoy one of the great princess dining experiences and I always recommend the one at Akershus in the Norway Pavilion in EPCOT.  This is where you can meet and greet and take pictures of many of the Disney princesses.  Other guests like to flock to the Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom. This too is a wonderful experience as you dine in this famous landmark but you won't get the princess character experience as you would at Akershus. You will have the opportunity of course to meet Cinderella and have your picture taken with her.

If you are looking for a general Disney character dining location I recommend Chef Mickey. Here you can meet Mickey, Minnie, and many of his famous friends during breakfast, lunch, or dinner.  It is a good buffet offered for all meals. Other favorites include Donald's Safari Breakfast in the Animal Kingdom Park, Garden Grill in the Land Pavilion in EPCOT, and Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club resort.

Another great character experience is Mickey's Backyard Barbecue over in Fort Wilderness. There will be a live band with a lot of dancing where the kids can be on the floor right next to their favorite character!

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a wonderful event and one we don't miss every year.  It does take an extra event ticket but includes seeing the great Christmas parade and holiday fireworks which are unbelievable.  Guests who enter for this party are given wristbands to wear so it lets the cast members know who should be in the park for the extra hours.
