We will be going to Disney the first week of Sep.Our kids will be 7,5,almost 2,and a newborn about 2 months old. My husband wants to get the Deluxe Dining Plan. The places to stay are between a Disney cabin or Disneys Art of Animation. What do you recommend?

Just to clarify, Stephanie, the makeup of your party also permits you to stay at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside or any of Disney's deluxe resorts that accommodate five guests.  Reason being that the youngest child can be accommodated in a crib until he or she turns three.  I just wanted to let you know in case you thought you were limited to only the two resorts you named.

All that said, I can tell you that Disney's Fort Wilderness cabins are so much fun.  My family loved the rustic charm of that resort, and the golf cart we rented to get around made things even more enjoyable.  Oh, but the new Art of Animation is so gorgeous.  I just love the colors and theming, and I'm sure your kids will, too.  Based on the ages of your children, I would probably lean that way.  I will say, though, that if your family is particularly outdoorsy, the cabins would be a blast, and would offer a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the parks.  Good luck with your decision!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
