Hello! Going to Disney the first week of october w/ 3yr old. We went last year, stayed at BLT. Our daughter loves to swim. I am torn between BCR , pool and great food selection w/ boardwalk & Epcot. WL for the proximity to MK and theaming. Thanks

    Hi Dawn!

You are torn between my two favorite resorts at Walt Disney World!  The Wilderness Lodge is fabulous and has what I consider to be the best theming on property; it's theming is even better than the Animal Kingdom Lodge in my opinion.  I love the boat service to the Magic Kingdom, especially at night.  I also love Whispering Canyon Cafe and think dinner there is perfect for a family looking for a good meal and a great time.  It's also very easy to get to Fort Wilderness and the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review from the Wilderness Lodge via a boat, which is something both of my boys really loved when they were very young.

Beach Club and Yacht Club is perfect during the summer months when you want to spend a lot of time in a pool.  Stormalong Bay is absolutely amazing.  I also think most young children really enjoy it.  While they may be too young for the water slide and the lazy river, most young children enjoy building sand castles on the sand island in the middle of one of the pools!  There's also a junior water slide near the main water slide for very young guests.

If you think you will be spending most of your time at the Magic Kingdom, then I recommend the Wilderness Lodge.  It's also a great place to stay if you're going to be doing Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and want an easy trip back to your hotel room.  Otherwise, go with the Beach Club Resort!  Good luck with your decision!
