    We are going to Disney the first week of December. When is the right time to pre order the photopass CD and make the photo session reservations at the Grand Floridian?

    Hi Debbie - Great choice in considering the PhotoPass CD.   My family and I pre-purchased our first PhotoPass CD during our most recent trip.  Over the six days we stayed, we collected nearly 200 professional looking pictures between the photo session and other Disney photographers.   We couldn't be happier with the result.  

    I chose to pre-order the CD just a few days before going just in case we needed to change our plans.    It took just a few minutes to order and I received an instant confirmation via email.   Two neat benefits to pre-ordering I am sure you have noticed.  First, at $99 its less expensive than ordering the CD after your vacation starts.  Second, you receive a discount on the sitting fee for the Grand Floridian photo session.   This session was terrific as the photographer spent time with us throughout the resort and snapped about 75 pictures in an array of surroundings.    

    I suppose the one concern with waiting is that prices are always subject to change.   We weighed this risk and chose to wait until close to our departure date.   We had no problems in scheduling our session either and Disney was willing to accommodate just about any time we were interested in.   Given the time you are visiting (early December), I also think there should be plenty of availability.   Alternatively, since its just a reservation you are setting up, if you happen to know the date and time you want to have your photo session, just call and make your plans now and change later if necessary.    Enjoy your trip!
