Hi Julie,
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I am happy to help you start planning your early December Walt Disney World trip!
There is something for everyone at Walt Disney World, so what is a must-do for you will depend on your traveling party and what your interests are. I recommend that everyone you will travel with watch the
Walt Disney World vacation planning video to start to see what is most interesting for each member of the group. Then, you can start to plan an itinerary around these interests. For me, no trip to Walt Disney World is complete without a visit to Magic Kingdom to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and a stop at Epcot to ride Soarin'. But that's just me! You might find different interests in your group.
You are going to be visiting at a lovely time of year, when Walt Disney World is all decked out for the winter holidays. If you have time in your schedule, I love an evening at
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. This celebration takes place in Magic Kingdom and features wonderful holiday entertainment including an amazing parade, as well as the opportunity to see the characters in their holiday finest. Another wonderful spectacle at Walt Disney World at this time of year is the
Candlelight Processional at Epcot. This beautiful show features a retelling of the Christmas story by a celebrity narrator, aided by a large choir. Although the narrators and dates for this year have not yet been announced, if the past years are an indication, this will be taking place during your travel dates.
I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Julie! Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
