We are going to Disney first week of August. We are a familly of 5. We are on the delux dining plan. Do you think we need the club level for drinks n snacks? We did hear you can ask for a free upgrade when you check in. Did anyone ever get a free upgrad

    Hi Maria!

A Magic Your Way Plus Platinum Dining Plan will provide you with more than enough food to where you'd probably never really use the Club Level Lounges.   Your plan will give you three meals and two snacks per day, per person.  If you did the Club Level Lounge for snacks, you'd end up not using the most out of your Dining Plan.  I would save the money on the Club Level upgrade and put it towards another part of the vacation budget.

As for upgrades, those are definitely considered "magical moments" which typically happen in the rare case of overbooking or when the resort needs to rearrange guests.  If you request an upgrade at check-in the Cast Member will most likely quote you a price difference between your reserved accommodation type and the upgrade.  I always suggest to reserve the level of accommodations you want so you're not disappointed at check-in if an upgrade (paid or complimentary) is not available.

Please come back and see us again real soon!

    Have a magical day,
    Ashley
