Will be at Disney the first week of April 2008. Do you have to have your tickets before getting dining reservations? Also, I read somewhere that they aren't exactly reservations, more like priority seating, is that correct?

    Bridget,
You must be so excited about your upcoming April trip.

You will not need to have Magic Your Way tickets prior to making your Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs). In fact, I just made my ADRs for June (prior to purchasing tickets).

Advanced  Dining Reservations were once called Priority Reservations. We've noticed on our last few trips that it is increasingly important to secure reservations for table service restaurants prior to your vacation. While touring the parks, I've noticed many signs indicating that the restaurants are booked solid. I think this may be partly due to the Disney Dining Plan's popularity which encourages families to try out new restaurants.

When you check in at the restaurant with your ADR, your family will be given the next available table that can accommodate the number in your party. We've always been seated fairly quickly, although we usually travel in the off-season and dine early. Most restaurants will advise you to arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to your ADR time. This has always worked well for us.

I hope you have an enjoyable visit!
