Hey there, Ashley! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
Your very first visit is almost hEAR! I’m more excited than Merida winning an archery competition to help in your planning. Since your first visit coincides with
the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll get to experience an extra sprinkling of pixie dust and I hope you feel the Magic all around you. I'm very glad to hEAR that you've already booked a few dining reservations. October is often a popular time to visit and having dining reservations in advance is a great way to enjoy some downtime! Ashley, it's also important to know that in addition to your theme park tickets
you'll need a complimentary Disney Park Pass reservation in order to gain entry. If you haven't yet made your Disney Park Pass reservations, please do so as soon as possible. These can easily be booked by logging into your My Disney Experience account.
Now, let’s talk about attractions! The Fastpass+ system that allowed you to pre-book rides has been retired and
a new option, Disney Genie has been announced. Ashley, we don’t yet have a date when Disney Genie (or the paid upgrade option, Disney Genie +) will be available, but I encourage you to keep a close watch on the Disney Parks Blog and follow planDisney on Instagram: @planDisneypanel. In the meantime, take a few minutes and watch
THIS VIDEO about the new Genie and Genie + system.
Finally, Ashley, to your question about discounts: at this time it doesn't look like there are any discounts that would apply to your travel period, however you can always keep checking
the special offers page to see if anything pops up.
I hope this information helps as you're getting ready for your vacation. Please come on back to your new friends hEAR at planDisney with any additional questions.
Wishing you a trip full of unforgettable moments.
Lauren
