Disney First Timer here! Thinking of Chef Mickeys for breakfast, but I am not quite sure what route to take in getting there. We are staying off the resort and renting a car.Should we head into the park first and take the monorail or is there another way?

A Chef Mickey's breakfast is a wonderful Character dining experience! If it is not a really early reservation time I would suggest you drive and park your car in the Magic Kingdom parking lot, and catch the local monorail that will stop at the Contemporary resort which is the location for Chef Mickey's. When you are finished you can either catch the local monorail once again and get off at the Magic Kingdom or take a short walk to the park from the resort. This would be the faster way!
