Hi. We are going to Disney for the first time with our 4 and 7 year old. I was wondering if we really need the hopper passes. We are getting 4 day passes but trying to decide if we need to get the hopper pass?

    Hi Natalie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am so excited to hEAR that your family will soon be visiting Walt Disney World Resort for the FIRST time!  You are going to have the best time – your children are at the PERFECT age to enjoy every magical moment that they will experience during their vacation!

When deciding between single-park admission tickets versus tickets with the Park Hopper option I would recommend taking into consideration how much you want to accomplish during your time at the theme parks!  When my boys were younger, we were perfectly fine with a single-park admission ticket during our visit to Walt Disney World Resort.  Due to height restrictions we did what we could during the day at the park we chose to visit, taking a more leisurely approach.  Now that my boys are older (6 and 5), I know we would benefit from the Park Hopper option.  Their stamina to make it through the day is much greater, allowing us to stay at the theme parks longer, which makes going to a different theme park a true reality!  Having the option to move from theme park to theme park allows us to utilize the Early Magic hours at one park and then hit up another other later in the day, usually closing it down!  Having a Park Hopper option also makes making Advanced Dining Reservations a little bit easier since you are not limited to one theme park for your dining options.  Also, if you happen to be at a theme park that seems unusually busy you can always check the wait times at another theme park on the My Disney Experience app and use the complimentary transportation to get there for some reduced crowds.

Just remember that no matter what you decide, this will be a vacation where the memories made will last a lifetime!
