We are going to Disney for the first time in just 2 weeks!! We are wondering how long the wait is in the water park lines? We had thought that we would be there at peak heat hours but I bet everyone else will have a similar plan lol. Thank you!

    Hi, Dawn!

Hitting the water parks is definitely a way to beat the August heat!  Mid-day is definitely going to be the busiest time to go to the water parks.  Everyone is going to want some relief from the 90 degree temperatures.

My best advice is to get to your water park of choice early in the day.  Set-up under a nice shady palm tree and put on your sunscreen!  Then it is time to get on the slides that you know will have a long wait.  Once the crowds show up, use this time to have lunch, then enjoy the wave pool or the lazy river rides where there are no waits, just jump in the water (or grab an inner tube) and enjoy!

Have a great time at the water parks.  Make sure to bring hats, sunglasses, and plenty of sunscreen.  Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
