Hi! Going to disney for the first time on my son's 5th birthday. Already booked Chef Mickey's for the big day, but don't know what else is a must? We're only there for 3 days, and we have the DDP Plus. I don't have a picky eater :)

Hi Tanyce!  Your son is going to be a very lucky little boy to spend his fifth birthday in Walt Disney World! Chef Mickey is a great dining option for his big day as that is the best place to see the fabulous five of Disney characters.

A five year old will enjoy a day in the Magic Kingdom where he can hit the attractions all day long. If he is a lover of the pirates be sure and book a reservation at Pirates League where he will undergo a makeover to come out with new name and great new look. This can be make up only or complete with full costume. My grandsons absolutely love this and they are adorable when finished. If you can book the Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise later that night to complete a fun filled day.

Be sure and order a cake for at least one of your meals.....we like to pour it on and order one for all of them! Don't forget to check out the Disney florist, and order a surprise to be delivered to your son's resort room. This is always a special way to recognize the kids and they love anything that is there.

Other top dining spots to consider are: Sci Fi Dine In Theater and Primetime Cafe in the Hollywood Studios, Japan, Germany, and France in Epcot, Hoop Dee Doo in Fort Wilderness, and Rainforest Cafe or T-Rex in Downtown Disney.

    Have a great birthday celebration!
