going to Disney for the first time question is we are doing 1 park a day no hopper can we still eat at other restaurants then just at the one park? and we will be there on my daughters 8th b day any suggestion to make it magical on a budget.need advice!

Hi Chrissy - happy birthday to your daughter!  If you have a base ticket, you can only enter one park per day.  Since you need a ticket to dine at a restaurant within a park, then you'd have to eat at that park, or at a resort.

I'd recommend that you upgrade to a park hopper if at all possible.  If it's not possible, then you could also try out some of the restaurants at the resorts.  I'd highly recommend 'Ohana (at the Polynesian), Chef Mickey's (at the Contemporary), Boma (at the Animal Kingdom Lodge), and the Cape May Cafe (the Beach Club) for resort dining options.

To save money, I'd recommend that you consider one of the dining plans.  Otherwise, consider eating two small meals and a larger meal.  I find that the counter service meals are large, and my family shares them.

I hope that helps!  Enjoy your vacation!
