Going to disney first time May 2010. Bringing DH, DD13, DS16. Any suggestions for table service meals they would enjoy at that age?

    Hi Amy!

Don't worry - Disney World has the magical effect of turning back time!  I've seen teens that wouldn't be caught dead in the same room as their parents, walking arm in arm with them on Main Street.  But just in case, I'll try to keep my recommendations to those restaurants with a high "cool" factor!

The place that immediately comes to mind is Planet Hollywood in Downtown Disney.  This larger than life establishment serves great, teen friendly food and does double duty as a movie memorabilia museum.  Plan on allowing them plenty of time to wander around and check out all of the awesome props and mannequins.  They can even sip a "cocktail" while they wait - try the Pretty in Pink Smoothie, sooo good!

Watching mom and dad get scolded is funny for kids of all ages!  Over at the 50's Prime Time Cafe in Hollywood Studios, watch your kids crack up at your server's antics.  Whether it's "Uncle Bob" or "Sister Sue" who waits your table, prepare to bust a gut laughing!  Word to the wise - be sure to eat all of your vegetables, or else...

Over at Teppan Edo in Epcot, your teens can indulge in sushi or enjoy the outrageous chefs at the Hibachi table.  Be sure to try the scallops - they're delicious!     They may also enjoy the "under the sea" setting found at the Coral Reef Restaurant.  Located in Epcot's Future World, every seat has a great view of the wall to wall aquariums.  Of course, if they are really adventurous, Marrakesh in Epcot's Morocco pavillion is so authentic.  Your son should appreciate the belly dancers - Ha ha!

Of course, if they are up for a meal with Mickey, I highly recommend Donald's Safari Breakfast in Animal Kingdom.  This is a GREAT place to get a picture of Mickey with the kids!  Whatever you decide, enjoy every second with your "babies!"

    Much pixie dust,
