Going to disney for the first time with my DH and four DD, best friend and her clan are joining us, if we all dine together but our meals are on different cards does our gratuity apply to the table or to each reciept? Really struggling with gratuity info

Hi, Stacey!   When multiple families are traveling together, simply let your server know how you want the check to be split. To make this easy, let your server know when you are ordering, we found this to be much more efficient.    I did this recently;  My family of 4 was on one check, and my parents had their own check.   This way, the dining credits are deducted properly and each party can pay their own gratuity.   If your total party has 6 or more guests, an automatic 18% gratuity will be added to your check.

I know it all sound complicated, but it really is quite easy once you see it in person!   All your credits are kept track of on your Key to the World card, and you can even charge your gratuities to your room on your Key to the World card so you don't even need to pull out cash or a credit card.  Your server will be happy to answer any questions and walk you through the entire process.

Wishing all of you a magical vacation in WDW!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
