Hi Helen, welcome to the Disney Parks Mom's Panel!
My first recommendation is to make the most of early and late park hours - when crowd levels tend to be the lowest of the day. Taking a midday nap is usually recommended for making the most of really late park hours.
Bringing your own stroller is a great way of keeping the kids well rested through the day. Strollers are also a great for carrying bag, extra clothes and other essentials.
Make sure to enjoy all the
Christmas holiday special events taking place at all Walt Disney World theme parks. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is my favorite special event.
I recommend visiting Magic Kingdom 3 or 4 days during your vacation and Animal Kingdom twice. For families with young kids these parks are full of activities and attractions.
Of course, Epcot and Hollywood Studios also feature lots of activities, but most can be experienced on one full day visit.
At Magic Kingdom I always recommend making reservations at The Pirates League, where kids and adults can enjoy a fun and awesome pirate makeover.
Animal Kingdom features lots of animal encounters that my kids always enjoy: Kilimanjaro Safaris, Pangani Forest Exploration Trail, Maharajah Jungle Trek and Affection Section among others.
It's Tough to be a Bug! is a fun and loud show that your children will probably love.
Hollywood Studios features the Animation Station, located at The Magic of Disney Animation, were guests learn how to draw Disney characters.
When arriving at Hollywood Studios - early in the morning - make sure to sign your kids for the Jedi Training Academy.
Glad to help you plan a magical Disney vacation.
Miguel
