We will be going to Disney for the first time in only 17 days! My husband and I are going to have a night out on the Boardwalk while my daughter enjoys the Sandcastle Club. What will be the best way to return to Coronado around 11:00 p.m.? Thanks!!!

Hi, Amy! Congratulations on your first visit to WDW! You are wise to carve out some time on your vacation for you and your husband. I think you'll be amazed at how much fun you grown-ups can have at Disney without your child -- while simultaneously she is having a great time without you!

The Sandcastle Club is a Kids Activity Center located at the Yacht & Beach Club which is only a short walk around the lagoon from The Boardwalk. Unfortunately, there is no resort-to-resort bus transportation. Therefore, after picking up your daughter from The Sandcastle Club, I would take a cab back to Coronado Springs from the lobby of The Beach Club. That late at night, I think it would be worth the (approximately) $20 cab fare to make a direct route to your resort.

However, if you would like, you can save that money by taking a bus to Downtown Disney (or a park that may be having evening Extra Magic Hours), and then from there, you can transfer buses to Coronado Springs. You will need to count on approximately an hour or more in bus travel time back to your resort as opposed to about 15-20 minutes from The Beach Club to Coronado Springs by taxi. If by chance Hollywood Studios or Epcot is hosting evening EMHs on your evening out, you can walk or take a boat to one of those parks, and then transfer to a bus from the park entrance.  (You're still looking at almost an hour and a lot of effort late at night to get back "home.")

I hope this has helped you plan. Let me know if you have any more last-minute questions! Ask a question directly from one panelist to get your answer quicker! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
