We were going to disney in a few days and i was wondering if the Halo Air Power bank was okay to bring into the parks? We wont be able to go back to the hotel or anything due to it being a school trip

Hi Hailie, and welcome to planDisney! I’m excited to see that you’ll be walking down Main Street, U.S.A., and eating all the Mickey-shaped snacks in just a few more days. So let’s chat about bringing your power bank into the parks.

A power bank is one of my must-have items in my park bag! Since I’m always using the My Disney Experience app to book Lightning Lane selections, mobile order food, and download PhotoPass pictures, it’s helpful to be able to give my phone a midday charge. Sometimes I even charge my MagicBand+ to make sure the battery lasts to the nighttime spectaculars.

It looks like the power bank you have is larger than the typical one. I don’t see any size restrictions in the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, but security always reserves the right to turn away a specific item. When you go through the security scanner, I’d recommend taking the power bank out of your bag and holding it in front of you. When I brought my laptop into the parks, this sometimes helped me avoid being pulled over for extra screening (although they may want to inspect your larger power bank anyway).

If you’re looking to keep your phone charged throughout your trip, my friends are big fans of the portable charger kiosks throughout the theme parks and Disney resort hotels. It’s incredibly convenient. You make a one-time portable charger purchase, and then you can swap it out at any kiosk for a fully charged one once yours runs out of battery.

One last thing I wanted to mention before I go. You’re going to be at Disney World during one of my favorite times of the year, when the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is underway! I love seeing all of the colorful flowers and plants, checking out the Disney character topiaries, and sampling food at the Outdoor Kitchens. Be sure to take a look at Disney Parks Blog’s Foodie Guide to start planning your snacking strategy! There are also a lot of festival-exclusive photo ops and Magic Shots, which would be fun for your group.

I hope your school has a magical visit to Disney World this weekend! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney.
