Hi Nichole,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and a big, magical CONGRATULATIONS to you and your family! 2019 will be a very special year for you, and I hope you enjoy every amazing minute of your journey.
While Walt Disney World Resort does offer expectant mother advisories, which are posted at the entrance of each attraction as well as online, there are plenty of shows and attractions you’ll be able to enjoy while pregnant. Most importantly, consult with your doctor, who will have the best advice tailored to your pregnancy. Beyond that advice, check out Disney’s
list of attractions that are not advised for moms-to-be, and consult a Cast Member in the parks or at (407) 939-5277 if you have any questions at all. Treat yourself to a Dole Whip, rest your feet and back, and take in the sights and sounds while your partner or group experience the more thrilling attractions.
Nichole, staying hydrated is a cornerstone piece of advice from your friends here on the Moms Panel. My family always brings our water bottles into the parks in our backpacks; just be sure the
bottles are not glass and you’ll be fine. You can refill the bottles at water fountains and refill stations throughout the parks, and there is self-service water available at all Quick-Service dining locations.
If you’re ready for this step, I’ve seen some lovely ways of announcing a pregnancy at Walt Disney World. One of my favorites is purchasing a classic Mouseketeer hat and embroidering it with a meaningful word or name, and then taking a photo with it in front of Cinderella Castle. There are so many great ideas out there, so have fun doing that special #resEARch.
Congratulations once more, and have a magical vacation!
Robyn
