We are going to Disney in February . What restaurants are a must. My childrens ages are 5, and 8.

Hi Bernadette! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It makes my heart happy to chat about Disney meal planning! It gives me a rumbly in my tumbly, as Pooh would say, just thinking about all the yummy dishes and fun restaurants to visit during a magical Walt Disney World Vacation.

Here are my theme park picks.  At Epcot, we love the Garden Grill. This family style Character meal has an extra touch of magic; the restaurant spins. My kids get the biggest kick out of that.  At Magic Kingdom, you must secure a spot at Be Our Guest Restaurant. The French-inspired cuisine is delightful and dining at Beast’s Castle is incredible! At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can watch some sci-fi classics while you enjoy your meal in a car, at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. This last restaurant is brand new and you don’t need a reservation, but I can’t recommend it enough! Located at the brand-new Pandora- The World of Avatar, Satu’li Canteen is out of this world. The fresh ingredients and unique offerings are truly delicious and you won’t find them anywhere on earth!

My top picks for restaurants found outside of the theme parks are ‘Ohana, at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, 1900 Park Fare located at the marvelous Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and in Disney Springs, Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'.

There are so many options to choose from, and these are just my family’s favorites. I highly recommend browsing all the options available, checking the menus and character meals, so you can find your own favorites when you visit with your crew.

I hope this helps get you started on your meal planning and reservations. Be sure to mark your calendar for your 180-day Advanced Dining Reservation day. You’ll want to lock in your favorites as early as possible to guarantee a spot. Have a magical day! ~Emille
