We will be at Disney Feb 10-13, 2014, staying on Disney property with park hopper option. I would like to know about how long will it take to travel from Animal Kingdom to Magic Kingdom and which method of transportation is fastest? Thanks!

    Hi Tammy!

Wow, that is awesome that your next Walt Disney World vacation will be in February 2014!  It can take about 30 to 45 minutes to travel from Animal Kingdom to the Magic Kingdom using the Disney Transportation System.  You have a few options to get from Animal Kingdom to the Magic Kingdom.  The fastest method that I have found is to take a bus from Animal Kingdom to the Contemporary Resort and then walk or take the Resort Monorail to the Magic Kingdom (walking is actually faster only takes 5 to 10 minutes to walk compared to 10 to 15 minutes for the Resort Monorail to make the three stops before the Magic Kingdom stop).  The other way is to take a bus from Animal Kingdom to the Ticket and Transportation Center (the TTC) and then a Monorail or the Ferry to the Magic Kingdom.  Another option that I have found is to take a bus from Animal Kingdom to the Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort and then a bus from the Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort to the Magic Kingdom.  Keep in mind that my quoted times are estimates and then it could take shorter or longer depending on how long you have to wait for each bus or Monorail to come.

I hope that your February Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
