We’re going to Disney in Feb. My mom wants to join us for our trip but does not wish to go to the parks. Is it possible to remove her park passes/reservations only while still allowing her to be a part of our group for the room and dining res?

Hello there! Welcome to planDisney. We’re so happy to have you, Megan!

Your visit is planned for such a terrific time, Megan! Did you know that you’re arriving just at the very end of the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts? It’s one of my absolute favorite festivals and really is a treat for ALL the senses. From incredible musical performances, stunning art galleries and delicious culinary creations that are also a feast for the eyes, there truly is something for everyone to enjoy. So, make sure to stop over at EPCOT, so you don’t miss out!

Now, on to your question! Your mom can absolutely skip the parks if she would like to! However, her theme park tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. So, if she already has theme park tickets, the value of her unused tickets would remain in her account and could be used toward the purchase of tickets in the future. Also, it is important to note that if dining reservations are in the parks, she would need both a valid theme park ticket and a Park Pass Reservation to attend. But she can certainly join you for dining outside the theme parks.

Speaking of dining, I wanted to remind you to set a calendar reminder to log into your My Disney Experience account 60 days before your check-in to make your Advanced Dining Reservations. There are many fabulous restaurants to enjoy, but some get booked up rather quickly. So, don't forget to set that reminder, grab a cup of coffee for energy, and be sure to log in at 6:00 a.m. on that 60-day mark to snag your table!

I hope you and your family have a magical time on your vacation. We just love answering questions for fabulous fellow Guests like you, so feel free to visit us again if you have any other questions.

    Bye for now,
    Diana
