Does Disney do a fast pass and what are the benefits for a fast pass

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Brianna! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney. Thank you so much for stopping by with your question!

Unfortunately, the Walt Disney World Resort suspended the use of FastPass+ right after the COVID-19 pandemic hit... but don't panic! You will still be able to bypass the standard queues at more than 40 attractions and experiences throughout the Resort with the help of the Disney Genie+ Service. I promise that you've never had a friend like that!

Brianna, Disney Genie+ will let you book Lightning Lane entrances for most of your favorite attractions at all four Theme Parks right from the My Disney Experience mobile app, so it really can't get any easier than that. But that's not all! You'll also have access to some very cool Disney PhotoPass lenses and AudioTales, which consist of prerecorded fun facts about the Theme Parks and movies that we all know and love.

To purchase the service, simply open your My Disney Experience mobile app, click on the three lines at the bottom right corner of the screen, and head to the My Disney Genie Day tab. You should now see a purple banner that reads "Get Disney Genie+ Service"! Go ahead and click on it, and then follow the instructions on the screen to complete the transaction. Once you've done this, you'll be able to start booking your Lightning Lane entrances and zipping through the queues!

It's important for you to remember that you'll be able to purchase the service at midnight EST on the day that you plan on using it, and you may book your first Lightning Lane entrance at 7:00 a.m. on that same day. After you've booked your first selection, you can book the next one right after you've redeemed the original one OR two hours after booking the first one. The only exception to this rule would be if you booked a Lightning Lane entrance at 7:00 a.m., since the two hour window would start counting after the Theme Park's official opening hours. Say, for example, that Magic Kingdom Park opens at 9:00 a.m., you've booked a Lightning Lane entrance for Pirates of the Caribbean at 7:00 a.m., and the app is saying that you may redeem it after 9:45 a.m. In this case, you'll be able to book your next Lightning Lane entrance after redeeming the first one at the attraction OR right at 11:00 a.m. (two hours after Magic Kingdom's opening time).

I hope that this has helped ease some of your concerns, Brianna! If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach back out to us so we may assist you further. Have fun at the Most Magical Place on Earth!

    Warm hugs,

    Ana Paula
