Ahoy there, Denise! Thank you for sailing by planDisney.

Getting a good night's sleep is important while on vacation! I have found the beds and pull-out sofas in the staterooms to be comfortable. I sailed on the Disney Fantasy last summer on the 10-Night Southern Caribbean itinerary and slept on the pull sofa the entire time! As you mentioned, mattress pads are available upon request, and it seems that they are an egg crate foam type of mattress pad. You can make this request in advance of your sailing.

Once you embark, if you need extra towels, some ice, or another amenity in your stateroom, speak with your stateroom host or hostess. I always love returning to my stateroom in the evening to see his or her creativity show in the towel animal that is waiting for me.
