Ahoy, Laura!
Welcome aboard planDisney! I can hardly contain my excitement for you—twelve nights
aboard the Fantasy while sailing through the Mediterranean? That’s not just a cruise... that’s a full-blown, fairytale-worthy epic adventure! With castles on land and magic at sea, this itinerary is giving major “Epcot’s World Showcase meets Pirates of the Caribbean” energy—and I’m here for it!
Now, let’s talk about one of my favorite parts of any Disney cruise: the themed nights! While entertainment is always subject to change (even Fairy Godmothers need flexibility), here’s what you can expect for your sailing based on the current schedule:
Day 2 –
Formal Night (Sea Day):
Time to break out your glass slippers and royal ballgowns—or just your favorite elegant eveningwear! This is your chance to channel your inner Disney royalty. The ship will feel like a scene straight out of Beauty and the Beast, and you might even spot Mickey and Minnie decked out in their formal best. It’s the perfect night for family photos with a little extra sparkle, so don’t be shy—strike that royal pose!
Day 7 –
Pirate Night (Mykonos):
Shiver me timbers—it’s time to hoist the Jolly Roger! While fireworks are not currently scheduled due to local laws and port restrictions (Captain Jack doesn’t want to get thrown in the brig… again), Pirate Night is still packed with fun from stem to stern. You’ll find themed menus at dinner, pirate games and crafts for the little swabs, and plenty of opportunities to show off your best pirate ensemble. Whether you’re team Jack Sparrow or more of a Smee, there’s something for every landlubber looking to unleash their inner buccaneer. And don’t be surprised if a few scallywags take over the decks with a lively show!
Day 11 – Semi-Formal Night (Sea Day):
This is another chance to dress to impress before the voyage ends. It’s a slightly more relaxed take on Formal Night, but still a great excuse to get dressed up and soak in all the elegance of the Fantasy. This night always feels extra special—like a curtain call for the magic you've experienced over the past nearly-two weeks. I love strolling the upper decks under the stars, reflecting on all the adventures we've had… and maybe sneaking one last dessert from
Sweet on You (hey, calories don’t count at sea, right?).
I hope this helps you
pack with confidence and excitement for the magical days (and nights) ahead! Whether you're dancing like royalty, sword-fighting like a pirate, or savoring the elegance of a quiet sea night, each themed evening adds its own chapter to your cruise story.
Sea ya real soon with a June full of sun, sea, and shipshape adventures,
Dustin
