Ahoy there, Anthony!
Welcome aboard planDisney! It sounds like you're plotting your course for an incredible 9-night Mediterranean adventure
aboard the Disney Fantasy, and I’m thrilled to help you tie up the final details—especially when it comes to getting from Point A to Port Aboard the Fantasy with ease!
Currently, Disney Cruise Line is
offering ground transportation for Guests sailing out of
Civitavecchia (Rome). This includes transfers from Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport to the port and vice versa, as well as transfers from select hotels in the Rome area to the port and vice versa. Think of it as your royal coach to the ship—minus the pumpkin transformation.
While airport-to-hotel and hotel-to-airport transportation are not currently available, the following supercalifragilisticexpiali-transferdocious hotels and locations are part of the ground transfer program:
• Rome Cavalieri, A Waldorf Astoria Resort
• The Tribune Hotel Roma
• Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel
• City Center at Anantara (Lower-Level Convention Center)
As for cost, you’re looking at $66 per person (ages 3 and up) one way, or $132 round trip. Prices are always subject to change (as the Fairy Godmother says, “Even magic has its limits”), so it’s a great idea to
reach out to Disney Cruise Line directly to lock in your plans and get all the latest info. The Cast Members can also help you figure out what works best based on your arrival and departure needs.
If you’re anything like my crew, having that seamless Disney transfer adds a little extra peace of mind—especially in a city like Rome where there’s so much to see, do, and eat. It’s nice to know that once you’re in the hands of Mickey’s transportation team, you’re on the fast track to relaxation and adventure.
I hope this helps you feel even more Colosseum-ready as you prepare to explore ancient ruins by day and enjoy Broadway-caliber shows by night! Wishing you a journey filled with pasta, pixie dust, and portside magic!
Sea ya real soon as May brings sunshine, magical ports, and maybe a Mickey bar or two,
Dustin
