Ahoy there, Kaitlyn, and welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you’ll be sailing aboard the
Disney Fantasy over Easter. What a special time to be at sea, and I completely understand why you’re crossing your fingers for a little holiday magic.
While Disney Cruise Line does not always release holiday details far in advance, Easter is typically acknowledged onboard in subtle but meaningful ways. In past years, Guests have enjoyed festive touches like themed photo backdrops, spring-inspired crafts for younger cruisers, and a variety of special Easter treats that pop up in places like "Sweet on You".
Last Easter, while there were no religious services onboard, Guests were able to view Catholic Mass from the Vatican on their stateroom television on Easter Sunday. As of right now, Disney Cruise Line is not advertising any in-person religious services onboard, but this option allows Guests who wish to observe the holiday in that way to do so.
As for extra surprises, Disney has been known to add special treats or offerings closer to sailing, so I recommend keeping an eye out as your cruise approaches. As embarkation day draws near, you may even find some themed stateroom gifts available for pre-purchase. Of course, you can feel free to decorate your stateroom door with magnets or spring-themed decor, which always adds to the fun and makes it that much easier to find your room while brightening up your hallway on the ship.
Your best source for the most up-to-date information during your voyage will be the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Be sure to download it before embarkation day and then connect to the free DCL-GUEST WiFi once onboard so you can see exact times, locations, and any holiday activities as they appear. Schedules are always subject to change, but this is the best way to keep a pulse on the most current offerings. You may find an Easter celebration listed there once you're on the ship, but you likely wouldn't learn of it in advance. I would also check with Guest Services on Deck 3 throughout your sailing for any additional insights they might be able to offer.
I always feel even more connected to our Creator when I'm gazing at the vastness of the ocean, but there is something especially peaceful about celebrating Easter at sea. Whether it’s watching the sunrise from your verandah or feeling the ocean breeze as you reflect on the week, I hope your family’s Easter cruise on the Disney Fantasy is filled with peace, moments of pause, and just the right amount of pixie dust. If you think of any other questions as April approaches, I hope you’ll sail back to us here at
planDisney.
Bon voyage,
Sami
