Ahoy, Silvia!
I’m so excited to hear you’re planning a cruise aboard the gorgeous
Disney Fantasy this spring! The Fantasy is my family’s favorite ship; it was also our first
Disney Cruise Line vacation so it will always hold a special place in our hearts. I’m happy to share more details of the special themes you’ll enjoy on your magical sailing.
Last year,
Disney announced a fun new event of
Pixar Day at Sea which has replaced Star Wars Day at Sea for select sailings aboard the Fantasy this January through March - it will not apply to your itinerary in May. My family also loved our Star Wars Day at Sea in the past but are happy to see new offerings for fresh ways to innovate our vacation experience.
I can confirm that you will enjoy
Pirate Night, a Disney Cruise Line beloved tradition, on the Tuesday of your sailing (the evening you visit George Town, Grand Cayman). This themed evening includes a special menu in your main dining room, deck party, and fireworks at sea! Many Guests choose to dress for the occasion, but costumes or pirate-themed attire certainly aren’t required to have a good time.
Another special surprise is that your sailing is a
Silver Anniversary at Sea itinerary! Disney recently
announced this special way to commemorate Disney Cruise Line’s 25th anniversary. These begin in May, so you’ll be one of the first Guests to experience this magical celebration! I have a summertime sailing booked and can’t wait to see what’s in store for us onboard. Be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app prior to embarkation to have all the daily details of these exciting activities throughout your cruise.
Silvia, I’ve sailed this exact Western Caribbean itinerary aboard the Disney Fantasy and had an amazing vacation. I especially love the view out to sea from the pier in Falmouth, Jamaica – you've never seen a water color so mesmerizing! Please
let me know if you have any more questions as you finalize the details of this special adventure.
Bon voyage,
Amy
