Hi there, Alex!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad you sailed by with your FANTASTic question about an upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation! Choosing a stateroom is always fun and it’s sometimes hard to decide so having a specific requirement to go off is always helpful! Quite honestly, my husband always makes our stateroom selections and I am not sure if he thinks it through all that carefully sometimes!! But…you know what…I don’t really think there is a bad place to be on a Disney Cruise Line ship; I would rather be there than home any day of the week!
The ships usually back into
Castaway Cay and dock with the port side facing the dock. Therefore, the starboard side of the ship would face the island. Of course, this is always subject to change and is always to the discretion of the Captain, but this is what I have always experienced and what my friends at Disney Cruise Line confirmed with me when I checked. Hopefully this helps you narrow down your stateroom selection for the sailing that you have in mind!
Once you get your stateroom selected and your reservation made, be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and set the cruise countdown clock! Then watch the days tick away! Also set up your
My Disney Cruise Line account so that once your onboard activity booking window and Online Check-In date arrives (75 days for first time Guests) you will be ready to make your selections!
As you continue planning, please come back by with more questions; we would love to help make your cruise as magical as possible!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
