Hi Disney Fam! I'm interested in the Candlelight Dinner Package this December. I see the restaurants offer an appetizer and an entree as part of the package...are there any restrictions/a set menu?

Hi there, Eric! It's great to see you back at planDisney! I'm thrilled to help you with your upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth!

The Candlelight Processional at EPCOT is a stirring retelling of the Christmas story that features a celebrity narrator, a live orchestra, and a 150-voice choir made up of Cast Members and vocalists from the community. It will be presented this year from November 27 through December 30. The first time I attended several years ago is truly one of my most treasured memories.

One of the best ways to experience this event is with a Candlelight Processional Dining Package. You enjoy a meal at a select table-service restaurant in EPCOT, then you have access to reserved seating for the show. The meal typically includes an entree and dessert, as well as a drink. You will choose these items from the menu, unless it is a buffet. Spice Road Table is a bit different, offering two small plates, a tagine, a shared dessert platter, and a beverage. There is no set menu for the package, but some restaurants may have a few exclusions of specialty items. Advanced reservations may be made beginning October 14, and you can check out this post from Disney Parks Blog for a calendar of celebrity narrators.

Biergarten in Germany is definitely one of my favorites. The buffet has plenty of German cuisine options, as well as some standard fare. My large family loves dining here, even our pickiest eaters! The real star of the show, though, is the entertainment. It's like attending Oktoberfest in a Bavarian village, complete with a polka band!

There are so many special ways to celebrate the holidays throughout Walt Disney World! Disney Parks Blog has lots of information to help you make your must-do list. While you're in EPCOT, take time to experience the International Festival of the Holidays. I love visiting the different pavilions in World Showcase and learning how others celebrate the season around the world. Stop by one of the many Holiday Kitchens and grab something to sip on while you stroll.

I hope you have the most wonderful time celebrating at Walt Disney World, Eric! If you have additional questions, please come back and see us at planDisney any time!
