We are going to Disney with family and we went through a travel agent. I accidentally gave a wrong name for one of the tickets, now she tells me I can’t change it. My nephew has taken off work and bought clothes. What can we do? Please help!

    Hi, there!

Welcome to planDisney, Jennifer. I'm super excited to hear you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort soon! My family is visiting soon too, and we can hardly wait.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing a bit of a planning hiccup. But not to fret! I'm pleased to tell you that you can change the name on an unused Theme Park Ticket. To reassign the ticket to your nephew, start by logging in to your My Disney Experience account. Then, check to see if your nephew is added to your Family & Friends list by selecting "My Family & Friends" from the My Disney Experience drop-down menu on the Walt Disney World Resort homepage. If you don't see him on your list, click "Add a Guest" and add his information. Next, select "My Plans" from the My Disney Experience drop-down menu. Scroll down the page until you see your Daily Itinerary listed. Click on the blue hyperlink next to the Daily Itinerary that says, "Tickets & Memory Maker." There you should see all the Theme Park Tickets that are linked to your account. Find the ticket you'd like to modify and click on the arrow next to "Reassign Ticket." Select your nephew's name from the drop-down list to reassign the ticket to him. I know that seems like a lot of steps to follow! If the process feels at all overwhelming to you or if you experience any difficulty reassigning the ticket, I suggest calling the Ticketing Team at (407) 566-4985. A friendly Cast Member there will be happy to assist you!

One important thing to note about reassigning the ticket to your nephew is that while the ticket will transfer, any Theme Park Reservations that were booked with that specific ticket will not transfer. Once you have the ticket reassigned to your nephew, be sure to book his Theme Park Reservations via the Disney Park Pass System right away!

I hope this was helpful, Jennifer. I'm wishing you and your family a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
