I ♥ Disney!! My family and I plan on staying at PORiverside in April 2010. We are staying for 5n/6d. We are flying, so we would be arriving at WDW around mid-morning. Is the day of the arrival counted as the first day? If so, when can we check-in?

Hello Caryn!  Yes, your arrival day is considered your first day.  You can check-in as soon as you arrive at the resort.  If you are on a package, you will be given your room keys with tickets and any dining plan you may be on so you can immediately begin your vacation.  If your room is not ready, you can store your luggage with Bell Services while you enjoy the parks, pool, lunch - whatever you decide!  Once your room is ready, you will receive a text message (if you provided a cell number for your reservation) with your room number and your room keys will be automatically activated - no need to stop at the front desk again!  (If you don't have a cell phone, don't worry - you will receive a phone number you can call later in the day to find out your room number.

Enjoy your stay at Port Orleans Riverside!  Diane
