    Going to Disney with family who is eligible for the Celebrates America Military Salute Ticket. Does everyone have to be there with him for activation & park entry? He wanted to buy his granddaughters the ticket but may not make this trip b/c of sport

    Welcome to planDisney! Many thanks to your family member for his service to our country! I am so glad you're here with this great question so you can start planning for your trip in a few short weeks.

    The Disney World Military Salute Ticket is a specially priced Walt Disney World ticket promotion offered to U.S. military personnel.  For these tickets, the military service member or their spouse must be present during activation on the first day and must also have a park ticket in order for their family to be able to use the tickets. However, my good friend and fellow panelist Michelle notes in a recent response that when these tickets are purchased directly through Shades of Green, they are ready for use and do not require the military personnel's presence.  

    Since these tickets are not date-based tickets, they will require a park pass reservation for use. Be sure to complete this step! Hoping this information is helpful, Jordan. Let us know if you need any additional help with planning. We'll see ya real soon!
