Hey, Gilsa! Welcome to planDisney.
Disney Gift Cards are a really fun way to set aside money for your next Disney adventure. Personally speaking, they help me to stick to my budget and, since I've saved ahead of time, it doesn't feel like I'm spending any money. You can use your Disney Gift Cards to pay for so many things at Disneyland Resort. For example, you can pay for:
Theme Park ticketsDisneyland Resort hotelsMagical experiences (e.g. dessert parties, dining packages, tours, etc)
DiningMerchandise and souvenirs
There are some locations (usually those not owned by Disney) that don't accept Disney Gift Cards. You can just ask a Cast Member before making a purchase and they'll let you know.
You can purchase Disney Gift Cards from many major retail locations. Sometimes, I've noticed certain stores even offering deals on them (e.g. $45 for a $50 Disney Gift Card). Therefore, one benefit of purchasing Disney Gift cards is that you can actually save money if you take advantage of any available discounts. With Christmas coming up, you can even ask friends and family members to give you Disney Gift Cards instead of presents.
I hope that's helpful, Gilsa.
Mike
