Hello Heather,
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your daughter sounds a lot like my nine year old daughter; she's not a fan of burgers either, and is actually allergic to chicken! I enjoy the value of the
Disney Dining Plan, especially when I book Character or Signature Dining Experiences. I also love having the option of different Plans since during each of our visits we like to try new Restaurants, so we need a Plan that fits with those particular Dining Experiences. Even though I have more than one picky eater in my family, we have always been able to find menu choices at the
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and Theme Parks that make everyone happy.
You can upgrade her meal plan, however, I suggest looking over the
Disney Dining Plan Locations list ahead of time and then making your Advanced Dining Reservations based on the menu selections at the Restaurants. It will give your daughter the opportunity to find other meals that she will enjoy on the Children's Menu or on the Adult Menu. You can then determine if upgrading will be necessary. If she would like a "child size" portion of an Adult Menu item, then you will need to ask the Cast Member serving you to see if they are able to accommodate your request.
I hope this information helps. Please visit us should you have any additional vacation planning questions!
Magical Wishes,
Susan
