We are going to Disney this fall but my kids (12 and 10) do not like rides that go upside down, but they would like to go on space mountain. Does this ride go upside down?

Hello Christy!  First, welcome to our panel and thank you for posting your question.  Space Mountain is a fast thrill ride which takes place in complete darkness.  Your rocket ship will have you blasting through space with many sharp twists and drops.  You will not have any upside down tracks, so this is a plus for your children.  Although this ride takes place in the dark, your children will enjoy the features of space that they have read about in their science books.  Stars and satellites light up the sky as you blast through space, so there is not time to blink.  Your kids will be in awe!

This ride is a family favorite for my boys ages 8-14.  However, I always like to ask parents to make the final call as to whether they think their children are ready for this.  Of course, you know your children best and know what they can handle.  So, by clicking on the above link (Space Mountain), you can discuss with your kids as to what they can expect from this ride.  I do wish you and your family the best vacation ever and may it be filled with many great and beautiful memories!  Have a magical day!
