Has the Disney Express from Orlando to DisneyWorld been resumed?

    Welcome to planDisney Marlene!

It always seems like it takes a million years to get from my gate to the luggage carousel once I arrive at Orlando International Airport!  I usually find myself running toward my luggage pick-up and leaving everyone else behind!

Once all the Mickey Ears are secured and you are ready to get to that well deserved vacation, how do you get there?  I believe you were mentioning the old magical express shuttles; they are no longer in operation.  But there are plenty of options to get you from MCO to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel.

There are still shuttle services that you can book and pay for in advance on their website. You can find these services with a quick internet search. You will need to collect your luggage and walk to their buses, which are easy to find and offer safe and comfortable rides.  We have used shuttles many times throughout the years.  Remember with the shuttle you will be making multiple stops at Disney Resort hotels, so it may take a bit longer to reach your destination if you are one of the last ones to be dropped off.

Ride share services are also easy and convenient and take you directly to your resort.  The cost may be slightly higher than other options, but the direct service to your resort might be worth the time that you save.

The other option would be to rent a car at the airport.  I haven’t used this option in many years.  I’d rather not do any driving once I get into vacation mode and relax in the Disney bubble!

On the drive to my resort hotel, I always look at the My Disney Experience app to see what's going on that day at the resort.  I’ll also look at wait times for my favorite park to see if I can sneak away for a quick ride on Space Mountain without anybody noticing.  And of course, enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!

Marlene, I hope your trip is magical!
