Howdy, Gary! Welcome to planDisney.
How excited are you for your upcoming Walt Disney World trip?
The World's Most Magical Celebration beckons! There's so much EARidescent excitement to be experienced and enjoyed. Make sure you check out the
Beacons of Magic displays at each of the four Theme Parks. My favorite one is Spaceship Earth! Oh, and you've simply got to ride Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. It'll have you grinning from EAR to EAR.
It's awesome that you're staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. With all the
benefits that come with staying on property, I'm a firm believer that this is the best way to maximize the magic.
Sadly, Disney's beloved Magical Express service is no longer available. Like many fellow Guests, I have nostalgic memories of hopping on that Disney-themed coach at the airport and being taken to my second "home." However, all is not lost. When getting from Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World Resort, there are a few different options available.
Shuttle ServicesYou have a couple of options when it comes to shuttle services. The first option is Mears Connect (this company actually used to run Magical Express). This service is very similar to the old Magical Express service, with the main difference being the fee you have to pay for each Guest. It's really easy to book and you can do so using their website. There is also another second shuttle service available called Sunshine Flyer. This service has a very cool 1920s passenger cars and train locomotives theme. It's a lot of fun! I'd encourage you to check out their website and compare prices.
RideshareYou can easily book a rideshare service, such as Uber or Lyft. Simply download their app(s) and make a booking at a time that works best for you. The advantage of this is that you can leave when you're ready and you don't have to wait for other Guests.
TaxisYou can also book a cab to take up to nine people. This will typically cost you more than a rideshare service.
Rental Car
There are a number of rental car companies at Orlando International Airport. However, please note that there is an overnight fee to park at each Disney Resorts Collection hotel.
Faith, Trust, and Pixie DustYou can fly, you can fly, you can fly! All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of dust. Just make sure you have your happy thought and "Here we goooooooo! Off to Neverland!" (This last option takes some practice and you might want to have one of the other options in place as a plan B. You know... just in case).
I hope that's helpful, Gary. Have an enchanting trip! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney.
