Hi David,
Thanks for stopping in to see us here at planDisney!
I'm happy to hear you have your
theme park tickets and your
theme park reservations all set for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. That's some great planning on your part!
David, I'd say yes, you certainly can visit the Walt Disney World Resort without needing to use a smartphone. I think you'll want to be flexible in how you approach your theme park days to enjoy the magic that awaits you.
You're correct that many of the helpful planning tools for visiting the Walt Disney World Resort center around the
My Disney Experience mobile app. The app offers many convenient tools to help you plan and manage your Resort stay and your theme park days. For example, the mobile app helps you
place mobile food and beverage orders,
make dining reservations, and
check for walk-up dining availability. The mobile app also helps you use your mobile device to present your theme park admission using the
Disney MagicMobile Service. And, perhaps most importantly, the mobile app provides access to the
Disney Genie service and Disney Genie+ service to help you
make the most of your theme park days.
In your case, David, when you visit the theme parks, you'll want to consider using a
MagicBand that you would purchase or a physical theme park admission card for theme park entry. You'll also want to plan on using the traditional standby queues for enjoying theme park attractions. If you're planning on booking table service dining reservations, you might want to
consider booking reservations in advance starting at 60 days before your arrival.
Keep in mind, David, that the Cast Members and the
Guest Relations teams are always happy to help you with questions you might have as you go about your vacation.
David, here's wishing you a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
Jerry
