On the My Disney Experience app, it says Dinosaur opens at 9:30. If we go to Animal Kingdom on a morning with extra magic hours, ( which dinosaur is open for ) would we be able to ride it at 9:00?? Or would we have to wait until 9:30 when it usually opens?

    Hi again N’kysha,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

I’ve checked out DINOSAUR’s opening times and it seems as though most days, it’s only scheduled to open at 9:30 am, even when Disney’s Animal Kingdom opens at 9:00 am or is hosting Extra Magic Hours that day. Typically, if you aren’t eligible to enjoy Extra Magic Hours, as I explained in my answer to your previous question, you’ll have to wait until the attraction’s official opening time before being allowed to ride it.

Of course, there’s always a chance that the attraction will open for all visitors a little bit early, so it never hurts to wander over there and ask the Cast Member at the attraction’s entrance whether you can ride before 9:30 am. Worse comes to worse, you can wander over to Creature Comforts to grab a breakfast snack or some coffee while you wait for your turn to journey to the past!

I hope my answer has cleared up any lingering questions you may have about Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Extra Magic Hours. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
